Welcome to Southern Doxies. By using this website, submitting an inquiry, placing a deposit, or purchasing a puppy, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. General Information

Southern Doxies is committed to raising healthy, well-socialized long-haired dachshunds with thoughtful breeding practices and responsible placement. Information on this website is provided for informational purposes and may be updated at any time without notice.

Submission of an application, inquiry, deposit, or purchase request does not guarantee approval or availability of a puppy.

2. Puppy Availability

All puppies are offered subject to breeder approval and availability.

Southern Doxies reserves the right to:

• Refuse a sale at our discretion 
• Decline placement if we believe a home is not the right fit 
• Retain any puppy for our breeding program 
• Adjust availability, pricing, or timelines as needed 

Puppies are not considered reserved until a deposit has been received and acknowledged.

3. Deposits & Reservation Policy

All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Deposits secure your place on a reservation list or hold a specific puppy and compensate for time, planning, and lost placement opportunities.

Please understand:

• Deposits will not be refunded due to change of mind, family disagreement, housing  restrictions, allergies, financial changes, travel issues, or timing preferences. 
• Deposits are not transferable to another person without approval. 
• If Southern Doxies determines a placement should not proceed, we reserve the right to determine whether deposit transfer or refund options apply. 
• If a puppy becomes unavailable due to breeder circumstances, health concerns, or unforeseen events, the deposit may be transferred to a future litter or handled at breeder discretion. 

By submitting a deposit, you acknowledge and accept this policy.

4. AKC Registration

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

All puppies are sold with LIMITED AKC registration.

Limited registration means:

• Puppy is registered with AKC with Limited Rights. 
• Puppy  cannot be used to breed. 
• Breeding rights are not included. 

Full AKC registration and breeding rights may be considered only on select puppies and only with prior written approval and additional terms.

No verbal discussions modify registration status.

5. Health & Veterinary Care

Puppies leave:

• Age-appropriate vaccinations completed 
• Deworming  completed 
• Veterinary examined when applicable 
• In overall good health to the best of breeder knowledge 

Buyers agree to:

• Schedule  a veterinary wellness exam within 7 days of pickup 
• Continue  proper veterinary care, nutrition, and preventive care 

No breeder can guarantee lifelong health or freedom from every future illness, allergy, injury, environmental issue, or condition.

Any health guarantee provided will be outlined separately in the Puppy Purchase Agreement.

6. Payment Policy

Final payment must be received before pickup unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Returned payments, chargebacks, or payment disputes may result in cancellation of sale.

7. Pickup, Delivery & Transport

Puppies must be picked up by the agreed date unless arrangements are approved.

If transportation is arranged:

• Buyer assumes transport-related costs and logistics unless otherwise agreed. 
• Southern  Doxies is not responsible for delays or issues once puppy leaves breeder care. 

8. Website Content

All images, logos, text, graphics, and branding on this website are property of Southern Doxies unless otherwise stated.
